This is the second year that we did this type of activity. Last year, we have only seafood on the table. This year we have a variety; seafood, chicken, pork and beef. This year, we also invited more friends to share it with.
A budol fight is a unique way of eating food with friends. It is well described by bubblenews.com. It generally involves having all the food scattered on the table and everyone share it. It is generally served on banana leaves instead of bowls and plates. It is generally eaten with fingers rather than with utensils.
In our case, we allowed anyone who wished to use utensils or however they please. the object is to enjoy the food and share with friends. Also, everyone brings in a portion (potluck) of the food to share with others. The menu is coordinated (by our friend Jonjet in our case).
we also incorporated soup, but it was enjoyed in a bowl.
Thanks to our host (for the 2nd year in a row), the Caro family for providing the place to fight.
The menu includes Fish Kinilaw, Grilled Tilapia, Grilled Tocino, Grilled Pusit, Mussels, Shrimp, Grilled Pork belly, Chicken Adobo, Fish with Itlog na Maalat, Beef Feet Soup (prepared ala soup# 5), a variety of desserts, and of course lots and lots of rice.
Here are the pictures to show it.
Merry Christmas everyone….
Thanks for stopping by, Until next time….
